Task / Activity

A Task is an Edge in a Project Network. It represents a Task or Activity that needs to be completed in order to finish the project.

Non-Critical Activities §

Non-critical Activities have a Float Time of that is not zero, that is, there is some “Slack” / “Float” / Headroom between when they could be started at the earliest (EST) and when they could be started at the latest (LST)

Critical Activites §

These have a Float Time that is exactly zero, these are also appart of a Critical Path.
